Food I have never heard of .....until today. 

Kohlrabhi

A member of the turnip family, this crunchy and slightly woody veggie can be steamed or eaten straight with dips. (Shape)




Purple Beans

Though they'll lose their vivid hue, cook these just like their green cousins or simply wash and munch on them as is. (Shape)



Sunchokes

Also called a Jerusalem artichoke, this potato-like root vegetable  is good roasted or sliced raw and tossed into salads. (Shape)
